The Pros and Cons

What I am excited about for this week. (And the things that suck in between)

1st pro: Oh it is SPRING. Nice weather and sunshine, bring on the sandals. If I don't have to put my closed toe shoes on again for this semester, I will be satisfied. (Not counting going to the gym or soccer games.)
1st con: Hello Allergies. bummer.

2nd Pro: It's almost Easter. Which means I will be in Maryland with my roommates in just 2 short days. ROADTRIP.
2nd Con: the 2 tests that stand between me and that break. ouch.

3rd pro: Getting to participate in the campus Lip-Sync competition. Prize monies = excellent.
3rd con: GIving my life and my first child to the Stu Dev to practice to make the competition look good. Whateverrrr.

4th Pro: THe semester is almost over. This means: no more french, no more college algebra, no more CHOW and no more 8:00am classes.
4th Con: Having to finish the semester. This means: 2 more papers, at least 6 more tests, and 4 1/2 weeks of hell before finals. Oh yeah, and finals.

my life is kinda kick-ass. If this is all I have to worry about, I've got it made.

Yon know you are lame when...

It's Friday night, and everyone else on campus is either

a. at Spring Formal
or
b. off doing some other alternate activity

and you are in your room, alone. Doing College Algebra homework. Drinking tea. Listening to the Fernando Ortega pandora station.

My life is awesome.

So it's been a while.

So I'm not a consistent blogger- never really thought I would be. But Emily told me that instead of doing my homework, I should instead write in this long-forgotten blog of mine. I at first thought she was ridiculous (she is) and then of course, procrastination got the best of me, and now here I am.

I'm not really even sure what I want to say, only that, I think other people have funnier blogs than I do, which makes me sad. I want to be a clever and witty writer. Alas, I'm a sociology major, so I am only "okay" at a few things, not great at anything. (Look at that, making a crack at my own major. I'm funny). But I think I will just give a random display of thoughts in my head, right now.

1.
My roommates are OUT. OF. CONTROL. They are the funniest people I have ever known, and believe you me, I know a lot of funny people. But they are a riot. Amy has been saying some ridiculously funny things tonight, for example: "But you can't go to the Library without any pants!" or "Does it hurt when you don't wear a bra, no, oh good." seriously, she is so funny. So funny in fact that Emily practically had an asthma attack, which made everything like 100x funnier.

(As you can tell, school is very hard and tiring right now. so clearly we get nothing done. Though I guarantee they will both Ace their test tomorrow. Barf)

2.
One of my roommates moved out of my room, and onto another hall. SO we rearranged the room. and NOW we have a little couch (made out of the ex-roomies old bed no doubt.) And NOW we feel so hospitable! Come over, we'll offer you tea and coffee.

3. I signed up for classes for next semester and I got into everything I wanted, excellent. Everyone has told me that being an "upper classman" has its perks, well if this is the start of excellent things, then, okay. I like it. EXCEPT how insane is it that I am already 5 weeks out from being a JUNIOR in COLLEGE. I am signing up for grants to go look at seminaries for grad school. SEMINARIES. my life is moving too fast, soon I will be looking into retirement homes. yikes.

4.
This is the latest I have been up in quite some time. And thus I end with this: the weather of Lookout Mountain over the past week.
Monday: kinda chilly, you know, low 50's. whatever.
Tuesday: A little warmer, not much, but agreeable, if you will.
Wednesday: It was practically full blown springtime, 72 degrees, sunny and so nice. We had class outside and I got a little sun on my arms. WHAT? so weird
and TODAY...
A FREAKING MONSOON IS ON THE MOUNTAIN. Seriously, the Georgia drought of 2008-2009 is OVA. So much rain. It's not even funny. And I wore a dress (I had an interview, dress for success baby) and I got soaked to the bone. One of the less intelligent clothing decisions I have ever made. But I looked "successful".
oh, and the forcast tomorrow: 52. whateverrrr lookout mountain, whatever.

peace and blessings y'all. tomorrow is the weekend. holla back.
